I started painting a few years ago more as a social activity, however I soon discovered I quite liked it. I can now (almost) recognise what I paint as being what was intended. I particularly like painting birds, especially roosters. They have the most comical, grumpy expressions that amuse me no end. I feel I could paint them my whole life. In fact this has happened and I now have over 20 of them. I also like to paint plants, flowers, aloes and especially thistles. I am still discovering what I can paint, and most importantly, what I enjoy.
