I grew up in a beautiful area outside Salisbury, Rhodesia, or as everyone knows it today as Harare, Zimbabwe into a family of 4 siblings, two brothers and two sisters. I was fortunate to attend a private school, The Dominican Convent. I had a wonderful life, until we had to leave in 1976, when we emigrated to South Africa and settled in Umhlanga Rocks.
After many different opportunities and completing a Diploma in Photography, my career took me on the graphic design path, where I learnt book layout and publishing. So together with my son, Dylan’s and his love for bees (having forged a wonderful career for himself with this little creature), his knowledge and my abilities we wrote and designed this delightful book on the honey bee.
With my graphic design abilities, and my colleague Pat Lang’s marketing strengthens we have also designed an educational board game for primary school to reinforce what students learn in class. It is based on the SA CAPS curriculum and it a fun and interactive way to learn. We will be launching it later this year.
In my spare time, I am also a NeoLife distributor and when the occasion arises I am fortunate to do missionary work through my church CityHill. I have been as far as Malawi on mission. This has been a very rewarding part of my life. Giving back to those in need. My faith has been my mainstay over the last fifteen years. Life has been great and it is getting better everyday and I am proud to say. I am a child of God.
