Inspired by South African biodiversity, the South Skincare range harnesses the power of Africa’s most resilient botanicals. They source high quality active ingredients from specialist producers of organic African plant extracts and oils which are ethically and sustainably sourced and harvested. In particular, they source from Muthi Futhi, a community enterprise in KwaZulu-Natal providing long term employment for rural women. African plant species have developed the ability to adapt and protect themselves over the millenia from harsh environmental conditions, and they have harnessed these powers by incorporating active botanical ingredients from specially selected plants into their skincare range. The organic extracts from indigenous plant species including Baobab, Myrothamnus, Kigelia and Harpagophytum, are formulated in combination with organic African oils, including Marula, Kalahari Melonseed, Rosehip, and Mongongo oils, creating exceptional natural skincare products that soften, soothe and nourish the skin.
